If I were in real trouble, you wouldn't have gotten a message that brought you here. I have an SOS button to use for emergencies which goes directly to first responders / search and rescue.
So don't panic, and don't worry.
Algonquin starts actively searching for anyone who is more than 24 hours overdue. The most likely reason I'd send a Help message is because I'm behind schedule and am probably not going to get out on the day I'm supposed to. I may have broken my paddle, damaged my kayak, or maybe injured myself in a way that's not serious but is slowing me down, like a sprained ankle.
If I go back to sending "OK" messages after this, please use the GPS link in those messages to see where I am compared to where I'm supposed to be. If I'm still making progress but it's clear I'm not getting out when I should, call the park and let them know I'm behind schedule.
If I keep sending Help messages and I'm not moving or barely moving, call the park and explain that I likely need help getting out.
